We didn&#39;t have our online service developed. We had never shipped a console game before as a company. So we were developing a lot of new competencies as a company and assembling a new team.

I made decisions that I regret, and I took them as learning experiences... I&#39;m human, not perfect, like anybody else.

First of all there was a guy named Charles Nicholas, who used to do all of the inking that Jack and Simon didn&#39;t do. Simon used to do splashes and covers, but Charles Nicholas, after a while, did the inside of all of the stuff.

It was exactly an assembly line. You could look into infinity down these rows of drawing tables.

In other words, DC was never harmed by the paper shortages.

I was hired to do as many Boy Commando, Newsboy Legion, and Sandman stories as I could.

I was not too smart and constantly mouthed off and didn&#39;t know anything.
