She might have impressed a lot of people with her strength and determination, but where had it left her?  In a void. Utterly alone.

If a drought strikes them, animals perish—man builds irrigation canals; if a flood strikes them, animals perish—man builds dams; if a carnivorous pack attacks them, animals perish— man writes the Constitution of the United States.

That&#39;s the way it is with poetry: When it is incomprehensible it seems profound, and when you understand it, it is only ridiculous.

The more one has seen of the good, the more one asks for the better.
