We&#39;re showing a situation that these kids are caught in and being forced to do but the violence is not glorified. Most of the kids in there are not wanting to be doing it.

I wouldn&#39;t have wanted to miss the opportunity to make those three films that didn&#39;t do well. They were really important to me, and the things I learned doing them were important to me.

Plants and animals are even more comfortable with death. It is the natural end. But man by his nature is an unnatural animal. If any creature stands a chance of defeating death, it is man.

I grew up not liking my father very much. I never saw him cry. But he must have. Everybody cries.
